I was a couple days away from posting my Vasco. Prapawan; mine looks incredibly different and blooms on very tall erect spikes. Great growing as usual and healthy looking plant overall. Mine is almost 6 feet.

I'm just sorry that it took such a fall and suffered damage, I can just imagine how massive it would be. Its a very rapid grower and can often triple spike. Puts out 20 flowers per spike easily and often way more.
Can you imagine when your plant settles in a habit!?
Mine are indigo and have tessellation and ever so slight diff shape.

Wow that plant is a whopper!!! I'm not sure why the flowers would be small. Perhaps it is a malnutrition of a micronutrient like Ca, or Mg. Maybe someone will chime in with a better explanation.

Well actually this cross doesn't have very large blooms. It has a lot of blooms however. Up to 30 on a spike on an award quality plant. Blooms don't get bigger than 3 inches; a bit more in rare instances.

Its not a malnutrition it needs more energy to produce larger flowers than what my environment can provide. If I have all year round warm weather and humidity then I might achieve even seven inches diameter of flowers...

Really? I thought they can grow as big as six inches in diameter of more than 30 flowers in a spike....well I have 4 inches and it gave me 18 flowers in its longest spike(with three spikes in one plant)....I have no reason to complain.

Yep. I was just by my commercial grower friend cleaning up some of his orchid beds today and he has several very old plants of this hybrid; well over 10 years old, and the blooms don't get very large. He even has the alba form and that is a must have for me; I intend to collect it this week from his specimen plant.
