Default Vanda teres X Neo. falcata

In tropical area, the cross is able to bloom all year round, but in where i am located, the plant usually blooms in late summer.

This is a beautiful flower. If you have the time, can you scan out and post a picture of the entire plant? Is it fragrant? Does it get large like a Vanda or is it smaller like a Neofinetia? Regardless, this is another plant to add to the wish list!

Correct me if I am misunderstanding what you are saying by linking this thread to another thread from a year ago. The link has me going to a plant with Neofinetia falcata as the pod parent and the Vanda as the pollen parent. But this post reverses the pod x pollen parents. It took me a long time to understand that there is a difference between a Vanda x Neofinetia plant versus a Neofinetia x Vanda plant.

On the other hand, does it really matter who is on first?

According to the RHS registrations the order does not matter. They record the order of the parents for the first registered cross of the two, but don't register it again the other way around, the same name is used for both directions of the cross.

I am sorry. I am not certain which one is the pod or pollen parent.

Gorgeous Vanda. This one looks like it can pretty much be on the direct sun - judging by the shape of it's leaves? Anyone know where to buy one?
