Default What Fertilizer for Vanda's?

Hey All-
I have been using Peters General Fertilizer 20-20-20. I was reading tonight about nitrogen from urea isn't good for orichids and that what the Peters has in it.

What is good for my Vanda's? I'd prefer to continue with a 20-20-20. Any suggestions?

Thanks-

Brian

We've adapted the AOS Culture Sheet for Vanda for our greenhouse (in NH) but basically, we treat our vandas like mermaids ... sun on the face (leaves), wind in the hair (leaves and roots), and gentle waves (high humidity) lapping their fins.

Bob swears by Scott's Calcium Plus (preferred) or Grow-More Premium Orchid Food / Urea Free 20-10-20 at every feeding (this is SOP for every orchid in our collection, not just the vandae).

At every 4th or 5th feeding, he adds Grow-More Bloom Formula (6-30-30) to above and feeds as usual. (This formula is especially good in slow-growing periods).

He uses 30-10-10 premium growth formula on heavy feeders like cymbidiums and cattleya.

And every plant in the collection gets at least one soaking with pure water about every 6-8 weeks to flush the pots, baskets and roots of salt build-up.

BTW, the paphs and phrags get rain water rather than tap water and they are happy for it.

I've been using Ray's MSU RO formula, and it seems to be doing pretty well for them, so I'm going to stick with that unless someone can point to an article or similar purporting better results with a higher P ratio...
