I think it is neglect on my part....maybe if I put it bare root in the summer outdoors in my high humidity environment it would be floriferous....I let it in the glass culture all year.
Ah so you are the culprit then.
Because I know mine have grown about 3 or more feet in a year and are my height; almost 7 feet.

Default In Bloom Once Again!

This time the flowers are bigger....more flat and the colors are vivid and more pronounced....notice that there are plenty of roots as when I first posted its first pictures long ago....the height is the same because I lose leaves for reasons I do not know....this is still in vase culture all year round.

Hi Bud,

A lot of times I look at OB at work when the team is dead in the water waiting for something necessary to show up, or when I have just a few seconds, or when I'm waiting for an elevator, or walking from one floor to the next. I don't have time to write anything then, and it's hard to write while walking, but if I see something neat I will click the Like button. I always Like your photos! Your plants are well grown and beautiful.

This is a fantastic plant, and it's been great watching the flowers change over the past few years. It would be great to see these flowers in person because I know cameras don't capture blue shades very well. I bet it also sparkles in the sunlight.

In some ways I envy your warm, humid summer.... but in other ways I don't! I can make a warm, humid summer in my sunroom, then walk outside to a nice dry heat where my shirt doesn't stick to me.

Thank you for your kind encouraging words.
Warm humid summers in Manhattan sure can make us all perspire as you said shirts sticking to our bodies that makes our pitmarks look funny....yet this makes my orchid plants thrive outdoors on the fire escape and tolerate the New York environment.
