That is absolutely GORGEOUS!!

I have to say...I've seen you mention that Algoflash product before but I've never heard of it...after seeing this plant I really need to to look it up. To be perfectly frank, I wouldn't expect such beautiful blooms w/so few roots...especially since you say you got it a couple of years ago. I would've guessed it as a recent import...just seems like it would have more roots after 2 yrs. Then again, I don't grow Vandas. You really seem to have a magic touch when it comes to growing this group of orchids. Good job!!

Very nice, Bud. That's a combination I've not seen or heard of. Well grown and flowered.

The archanis/aranda is certainly the dominant specie in this cross for sure. No sign of branching or higher flower count alas renanthera & ascocentrum, but its really interesting to imagine how it will change as it matures and what sort of traits it will develop.

Default Rebloom 2015

A strange rebloom in winter, this orchid plant skipped a year and didn’t give me flowers for 2014 yet I know it flowers twice a year….
The flowers are robustly bigger than last time with such vivid colors. The violet spots on the petals are more pronounced.
This is very low maintenance growing on its vase culture.

I'm surprised at how slowly the Jairak blue has grown Bud. For a Mokara it is growing rather slowly for a full year of growth. What sort of culture do you use? These types are usually very floriferous.

I think it is neglect on my part....maybe if I put it bare root in the summer outdoors in my high humidity environment it would be floriferous....I let it in the glass culture all year.

Nicer flowers this time round, i agree with our soccer fanatic (CR7cristiano) that it does seem to be a bit on the slow side, what's your feeding regime?.........btw glad to see you found a nicer vase!!!
