Yes, it wouldn't be the first time I moved orchids around to catch the light. Our winters are dull here, so before I got my lighting I was moving my vandas from east in the morning, to south for the afternoon and west in the evening, where our florescent pole lamp is in the living room.

I think u should go for it! Its gorgeous!
I think you may also like V. Usha (V. JVB x Dr. Anek). I have it also. Super powerful grower & has pinky peach 4" blooms with a stunning deep red lip. Google it.

I'll give it some thought, but it may not be available here. It must be nice to live in such a warm climate.

With your climate, I think you would win.

You do have a point. With enough electricity, I can grow anything! Seriously though, during the winter we barely see the sun. Do you think it could handle the cool nights?

It will be fine. I assume you don't live in ur home and freeze during the winter right. Lol So as long as u don't expose it to the extreme temps then it will be fine.

You are probably right. It won't freeze but it may not bloom too well if it doesn't like the temperatures. If I kept it in my studio with the south facing window and plant light, year round, it should do fine.
