All blooms are finally opened fully. They are all clean w/ no damage and have really nice spotting and marking in the lip too. Quite a lovely show for a barely B/S vanda which as we know can sometimes be a yr from putting out blooms.

It is gorgeous! I love red and I got a vasco, because I have never seen a truly red vanda. Perhaps it won't grow in out climate. The ones we have available here can generally take cooler temperatures and it could be that yours need more sun as well.

This one likes a lot of full sun. This one and some others whch u can probably see in the background are mounted on tree stumps right in the front garden bed which gets a ton of full sun.

It sure is a beauty. I had a vanda Lumpini red given to me, but it isn't as pure red as yours. Do you know if it is pure vanda, or could it have some rhycho in it?
