I got this as a 5 year old back in 2011....this blooms for me twice a year but sometimes the spike blasts or the flowers don't look right so I don't post pictures....

Sounds like a fussy cross. Probably doesn't like to be moved around much or likes the defined seasons. Who knows; just be consistent w/ it.

I like these blooms as much as the first set!
My orchids are blooming with less flowers this year but we had a cooler than usual summer so that might explain it. I'm not sure what your weather in NY was. The flowers are really pretty and I enjoyed your description of the fragrance! I just love your posts and pictures.

Thank You for your kind encouraging words.

Manhattan usually gets a heat wave but we didn't have it this summer; it was a mild and gentle summer, in fact it was a rainy summer that we had. Then we are having a late frost this winter its still tolerable outdoors, and its near Thanksgiving.
