Hey Bud, I have been meaning to ask you.....or anyone that might have knowledge on this issue for that matter. I have a few semi-terete vandas that i got recently and i have put them in locations around my yard that receive the morning sun and good direct sun all day.....My semi-teretes all enjoy full sun, but for some reason these are dropping leaves faster than normal and the leaves are all wrinkled. They don't lack water and humidity. I could be from the shock of repotting prior to getting them, but i want to be 100% sure so i can take the necessary steps. The are sending out new roots further up the stem which is good, but I'm not seeing in the way of leaf growth; and the wrinkled leaves gives me worries.
Any help would be awesome.

semi terete Vandas love the sun and humidity ....the plant must be reacting to schock when it suddenly receives full sun and lots of water....
when I receive a new Vanda, I water it soaking wet then put it in the new location and wait until it gets acquainted to its environment and then slowly give it the culture and water regimen....
just to be sure: can you spray it with hydrogen peroxide....just to rule out fungi and scales?

Im almost sure its not scales or fungi. On day one of receiving them I sprayed with a fungi/bactericide & insecticide....and i spray my orchids once a month. My guess from the wrinkling and leaf drop and roots dying off is that it could be stress from my aunt recently potting them before giving me them. All but two of the 6 orchids had spikes when i received them and they bloomed, but some suffers alot of bud blasting and blooms looked droopy. All but one of the six have made a turnaround and sent out new roots. 3 of the 6 though, still have wrinkly leaves and they are more yellowish green than a light healthy looking green.
What could be my solution?
Maybe i need to take it out of the sun for now until it has rooted and sent up some leaves. Idk.

put it in a bright cooler shade and make sure it is not overheated....just give it a pleasant environment for it to heal....your aunt must have disturbed the roots too much that the plant is telling you that they need to heal....it must have undergone a severe shock....trust your instincts on this....you know what to do

Beth,
This is an easy to grow Vandacious plant. Just follow the culture and make sure to spray physan20 before you repot it. You might get this bareroot which is great because you can allow it to get used to your environment.
This is prone to fungi and bacterial infestation so be very careful with cold water spots on the leaves where it all starts to darken and fester....this orchid plant is sulking for me because I started to repot it in a basket....it must have liked the S/H method it was in....the flowers are fragrant and beautiful I hope you get one.
