Thank You, CR7cristiano !
I would like to see pictures of your blooms....you have large specimens that I always envy.
I will definitely take some pictures for you once they are blooming! I was told by my mother back home that the spikes are looking to be as big or even bigger than the V. Pat's Delight 'Red' I posted pics of previously

Thank You, Philippe!

I dont crosspollinate nor do I breed orchids but I have learned to self pollinate some of my plants....I just collect specimen sized or previously bloomed orchids....seedlings are hard to care for in an apartment environment....the mortality rate is low....so I eccept only well established mature plants

This is a real beauty, Bud!
You are right about seedlings being difficult. I started off by burning mine. The are much more sensitive to light then the adults. I'm keeping them out of direct sun until they are healed.

Amazing! I guess some orchids produce keikis easily. My vanda is 11 years old and needing to be cut at the base and re potted. It has never produced a keiki, just more and more roots.

Might i suggest just letting it be? Get a large redwood stake and attach it to it. so you don't for a second stunt its blooming agenda. I must say, ever since I started a discipline care regimen my vandas just keep spiking. As soon as one spike blooms are finished it literally pushes out another in about 2 weeks. This goes for all my other orchid species, except the strict biannual ones and the once a year ones. I did exactly what you say you're thinking of doing, and those Vandas have definitely grown and sent out roots, but no blooms in about 4 months +.
