I tried that with live forest moss and it seemed to be working well, but the moss kept crumbling and falling in. I wish I had some spanish moss!

I picked up a very healthy clump of spanish moss from Botanica - Botanica Ltd. - orchids are our specialty

$5, and it came along with a few other small plants I was ordering. I've gotten many plants from them and am very happy with the quality. The moss really seems to have made the biggest difference with my conditions - indoors, windowsill growing, 50-60% ambient humidity and watering once or twice a week.

I don't have the time to water the vanda every day, I'm already misting to many plants!

I think it might not be legal to ship to Canada, but I'll look around here and see if I can find some. I bought some air plants on ebay once, maybe someone will have Spanish moss.

I learned how to drill holes on glass...I now have vandacious on S/H and also my large Euentha sanderiana is in a large glass vase curled inside like you curl long hail...with media ready for winter...in summer they get back to the fire escape outdoors and hanging bareroot(humidity and heat and light in Manhattan is perfect for vandacious)

Great! Do you have any problems with the sun heating up the vase too much? My only concern is giving the vanda enough light without cooking it. I lost a vasco seedling in vase culture and I am wondering if this is why.

Looking good and Congrats!

Ditto on Maureen's question.

In a few weeks/months I'll be posting my first rebloom in vase culture. My Rhyn. gigantea alba has three spikes starting.

It is a nice suprize. I really did not think it would do as well as it has been doing. Since I have had it has had larger leaves and thinker roots.
