V. lamellata var. boxalli 'Mem. Joseph Genovese' CCM/AOS
Hey Folks,
I just wanted to share about my V. lamellata var. boxalli 'Mem. Joseph Genovese' CCM/AOS. It received its award yesterday, and I named it in memory of my dad.
It is one of my favorite vanda species, and also my most prolific bloomer. This year it had 16 spikes! The award paperwork states that it has 320 blooms and 10 buds!

Hi All,
Thanks for your remarks!
My dad taught me to believe in myself, and along with encouragement to try things I didn't have a penchant for, he also helped nurture my love of nature and growing things as a child. These things have given me a spirit of adventure towards life, as well as my passion for growing orchids...I couldn't think of a better way to honor him than by naming one of my favorite plants after him.  |
