Vanda. Very determined to live and bloom Female
Default Vanda. Very determined to live and bloom

This guy is determined to survive. After blowing away in a storm, spending two days on a golf course, badly beat up and sun burned, it decided to survive. 4 years later this is what it decided to do to reward me for all my TLC. It has another spike forming. This one is not completely opened yet but I just couldn't wait for the full bloom to show it.

Orchids are not as fragile as we tend to think they are.

Orchids are not as fragile as we tend to think they are..... But I believe that one is especially hardy. I love it.

Good job Marilyn. Just shows what happens when we give a little TLC.

Wow, now that's a survival story! What a pretty thing too. Congrats on saving this beauty. As tough as those babies can be, it still takes some skill to nurse one back like that. I hope I've got it, because I just realized that a Vanda I thought was dead (from the winter cold & heater dying) is not dead at all and appears to be sending out 3 keikis!
