I have 1 mokara orchid in my collection, however I have been trying to find links/pages on the internet that shows care etc. for them so far I have not found one site. Does anyone know of any sites or tips on caring for this kind of vanda? Can it take full sun like the terete type vandas?

I do have Mokara Madame Panni. My plant takes everyday 3 to 4 hours of direct sun. It blooms 3 or 4 times a year. But once the spike cleary appears, I recommend to decrease the light because the sun, then, can burn the flowers under tropical climate.

Juding from your location, Mokara should do well. All Mokara like full light, lots of water(daily) and fertilizer. The level of light is depend on how much the Arachnis parentage is in the bloodline!! Arachnis are true full sun triving tropical orchids.
The way to tell is look at the flower. if the flower is more open and resemble close to Arachnis, it like lots of sun and if the flower is more close to Ascocenda, you can provide slight shade during miday (from noon to 2-3pm) and they should provide blooms for you every month. But in general, they can tolerate more light than strap leaf Vanda.

Thank you all for your responses, I feel better now. I love this board.
It is a Ascocenda type vanda. I had it in the full sun with the other vandas and the leaves were turning yellowish in color, but what I decided to do was get som mosquito netting (dark green in color) and double it and place it over the vanda so it kinda gets filtered light now. I realy hope this cuts down on the % of light it gets.
