Default Vanda of Indonesia: Jennae and Limbata

Rain brings blessing to my Vanda collection.

1st up... Vanda jennae, native of Celebes island.

2nd and 3rd... both Vanda limbata bloom at the same time and shows different variation. First looks paler but give me two spikes while the second has better flower form.

Hope you can share my joy. Many more from different genera already posted in my flickr: Flickr: TogeGoreng's Photostream

Gorgeous!
I'm probably going to Jakarta in January, and travelling around Java with some friends. Any suggestions of good orchid-spotting places to go to while I'm over there? I'd love to see some vandas in a more natural setting than growing in a vase in my house!!!

Thanks for the appreciation guys.

@Kaykay:
There are a lot of places for orchid sightseeing. I recommend you going to Bogor Botanical Garden (1 hour from Jakarta). They have orchidarium but open only on weekdays. Bring some binoculars, you might be lucky to see a Grammatophyllum speciosum blooming very high in the trees (30++ ft above).

You can also go to Bandung area where you can visit several orchid farm in the area. If you are lucky, you maybe be able to spot Vanda tricolor blooming on the side of the street.

Gunung Halimun-Salak National Park also worth visiting if you want to see orchids in the wild. You can find lots of interesting terrestrial and jewel orchids within the national park.

Please PM me if you need further information.
