Default The Little Haraella that Could: summer project update

This guy was my summer project plant that did nothing for six months, regardless of whatever I tried to do to make it happy. Finally, little Haraelephant (aka Haraella retrocalla) decided to get with the program, and now has two healthy blooms that smell a bit like grape juice. Behind these are two more spikes, and tons of new roots are poking out the sides of the net pot. Took forever to get going, but now it seems there's no stopping it!

Great job Stephen! Your Haraella looks gorgeous! How big is she now? Mine has 3 stalks with one that is almost ready to burst too! This will be the first blooms for this plant that I re-bloomed. Lots of new roots for my haraella too! I just love this little girl

Wow, great growing! I didn't take part in this project but I'm seriously considering getting hold of one of these in the spring.

Great job!! I love this orchid. Mine bloomed constantly from the moment I got it for the project, and it just dropped its last bloom a few days ago and the spikes are finally dying. Good thing, because this plant needs a rest! I have a second Haraella that I got 6 months before the project plant, and that one is in bud right now. Rosie, if you want one in the spring there is an ebayer in germany that regularily has some for 10€, with low shipping.

Mods- shouldn't this thread be merged with the official Harella project plant update thread? If we have several threads it will be confusing to keep track of everything.
