That's my problem as well Camille. I just love them but even on the south facing side of my house I don't think they would get enough  |

The only reason I get away with growing some higher light plants is that they spend the summer in southern France, in the sun, where they accumulate energy for use later on. That's why my Soph cernua is blooming in a north facing window here in NL! I don't know if that would work for the light hungry vandaceous orchids.

No, it's a shame because I love both Vandas and Ascocentrums.
I have been wondering if I could get away with one in a hanging basket outside on the south facing wall for the summer and somewhere inside for the winter, but not sure it either the summer light would be bright enough or it would cope through the winter.
Ho Hum, I might try one day.

I hope mine gets 2 spikes at once like yours! It flowered twice but one spike after the other.
