Default Holcoglossum kimballianum

Taken a few days ago just before I brought stuff in.

The plant to the right is Cirr Elizabeth Ann 'Buckleberry' (The RHS/Kew database has it as a Bulbophyllum).

Very nice, I don't think that I've ever seen this species before!

nice. I am so jealous of all those able to grow/bloom Holcoglossum. Know any Holco species that can tolerate warmer condition?

Great blooms! How much light does it get?

Thanks, all.

Wonderlen, it seems to me that Holcoglossums prefer cooler conditions during winter, yes, but they do grow warm during the summers. I think Holc flavescens/rupestre, quasipinifolium are the ones that really prefer a cold winter. Still, I give my Holc kimballianum, subulifolium, flavescens, wangii & quasipinifoium plants a cool/cold + dry + very bright winter. I did grow another Holc wangii with the vandas in winter - intermediate/cool (nights) to warm during mid-afternoon + very bright winter with more watering and it flowered for me repeatedly - but I lost that one 2 years ago. Try giving yours more light?

Marc, it gets vanda-type light. Cold & next to the glass, southern exposure, during winter. Outdoors with am and pm sun, dappled shade during mid-afternoon, during spring-fall.
