Had an Orchid forum friend offer me a few spare pieces of his Aerides, couldn't resist. One has 2 spikes.
Aer. rosea ( fieldingii)
falcata
odorata ( interesting variety from the Philippines)
Korat Koki
(korat koki x houlletiana) x houlletiana
Rita Beltrame
Rita Beltrame x multiflora v Godefroyae ( seedling)
I have also been doing a little Aerides shopping Roy and last week, 'lucked' on to a few but I hate to admit, yours look far better and bigger than mine.
What did I get?
Aer. brighton pink
Aer. falcata
Aer. korat koki x Ascda aroonsi beauty
Aer. lawrence xx (V pimporn x V. kasem's delight)
Aer. odorata x Aerdv white surprise
Aer. pramote
All I have to do now is keep them alive and get them to flower.
Nice group of plants, Roy. What is the plant in the far back, right-hand corner? It looks a little like Vanda lamellata.
Steve
Hi Steve, they are nice plants. The far back right is labelled Aerides fieldingii ( rosea ) its one main growth and 2 or 3 leads coming away. It had 4 but one fell off & is potted separate.
It a composed pine bark in large chunks that they are in. The roots were a little dry and light on when I got them & coz I grow them in mesh pots ( which I ran out of ) I put them in normal pots to keep up the moisture and stabilize them coming into spring when I will repot into their proper home.

Baz
Baz, not a bad selection yourself. Have these plants flowered or are they seedlings????
I'd be very interested in the Aer. Korat Koki x Ascda Aroonsri Beauty....very interesting and the Aer.lawrenciae x vanda. There are some lovely Aeridovandas about.
If you happen across an Aer. flabellata in your travels can you PM me details please.
They are all cuttings and set me back $5 each from a bargain box from Brighton Nursery. The total haul was 45 different plants, all in the Vanda alliance.
None of the plants appear in the current Brighton catalog.
Next time I am down there, I will enquire about Aer. flabellata.
Nice purchases. Should be really nice when they bloom. I just got my second Aerides this weekend, which is the one you mentioned, Aerides flabellata. Unfortunately I am in Florida, so that probably doesn't help. It is a lovely plant though, but I don't detect any fragrance.
