Default A Haraella odorata with no scent? *MINI*

My new Haraella has just opened it's first of three buds (yesterday) and has absolutely NO scent! I'm bummed. The second blossom should open in next day or so judging from the condition of the bud. If I get a chance later today I will post a picture.

Try smelling it at different times of day. Early morning, mid day, just before dark, and in the dark. That can make a big difference. For example, Brassavola nodosa is intensely fragrant at night, but during the day you would be hard pressed to smell anything.

I had a hard time smelling mine on its first bloom. But after its third and fourth, it was really strong. Also, it had its strongest scent at certain times of the day, like morning and afternoon. I think.

Great! I just thought it was me! I only smelled something "swampy" , probably from the watering. I'll wait and see if I am rewarded with the scent you all covet.

rsfrid, its not you, mine did the same as Tindo's, but it will not smell once you water it, but after a bit of dry time...the aroma is wonderful.
