KG - I just took a smell 5 mins ago, to see if there was any fragrance. The flowers have a scent - quite a nice scent that I noticed. Not off-putting at all. A pleasant smell!

I had forgotten to smell them yesterday. I had been meaning to, because one of the Aerides is Aer. oderata ..... and I wonder if that one has a strong smell hahahaha. I don't yet know if oderata (maybe pronounced oh-derr-ah-tar) has anything to do with odour haha.

The flowers opened more today, maybe some are properly opened now. I'll just upload 2 photos taken today of the opened flowers.

They almost look like jellybeans!

That heavy "pointy" labellum is a dead giveaway of Aerides. That and a robust sweet scent. LOVE IT! If you come across another one, ship it over to me!
