I was reluctant on answering your posting because you were looking for experts and I am but beginning in my orchid growing …. They do SO much better When taken care of, not just treated like a barn cat.

I'm open to input from any level of expertise.
That's why I spelled it as I did, plus just being a smart-a$$.
And, I never hesitate to give my opinion no matter how wrong it is.
It goes towards building more info and knowledge.
I think I may have found a way to get some local info on this Vanda.
I had quit the Hilo Orchid Society because there are just too many hardcore and commercial growers in it.
Plus, it is very much a social organization.
Quite a few regular meetings are replaced by social get togethers.
I don't deal well with social functions.
I miss a lot of strictly informative meetings due to the social side of the organization.
It isn't as relaxed as I had found the AkOS to be.
Anyway, After the Orchid Show in June, the next regular meeting will be in July.
I'm thinking of going to that meeting with my story and photos to see if anyone can enlighten me about it.
it is probably a long-shot, but who knows?
I haven't been to an orchid society meeting for 2 to 3 years now.
Mighty be interesting.
