Here's one that most will call a weirdo.

Kinshiryu is the shima mutation of Kihosei 貴宝青, which is known for its peculiar pinched leaf habit called Noshi-ba 熨斗葉.

Weirdo indeed! Wow, I like this one with its pinched leaf. The variegation adds to the uniqueness of the plant. Does the pinched leaf create problems with water remaining on the leaf, in the pinched area?

Thank you Hakumin for sharing yet another amazing Neo!

I guess it does create more spots for water to be able to collect, but I've personally never had any problems with rot or disease caused by water collecting on the leaves on any orchid I have ever owned, even though I top water everything in the shower and leave them to air dry afterwards.

Another possible problem might be attacting insects in the leaf folds. Is that a problem?

As far as the tiny jumping spiders, I welcome them and even try to coax any I find in my kitchen onto a paper towel to transport to my plants as they devour any problem visitors. Safe environmental insect control..

No more a problem than any other neo. There's not much room for bugs to hide in these folds since they're fused shut. Bugs have plenty of space to hide under the leaf sheathes of any variety anyway.
