Default Tamakongou (mini) 玉金剛

This one is for Patty!

Tamakongou is a bean leaf but the "normal" plant is two-three times larger than this one pictured. It must be a sport of the regular plant, a seedling, that has not developed any larger than this size: .75" from stem to leaf tip. It grows upright like Angraecum distichum.

Surprisingly, not expensive compared to other smaller Furan.

Thank you Matt! Shall I post my address or would you prefer a PM!

This mini Tamakongo is amazing!!! I assume this was on Satomi's mailing list? I did see this plant in her August list but I was so frigging excited over the Senzai, I forgot all about any other plants. I just knew the Senzai would already be sold and I was patiently awaiting her reply.

Do you know much about this mini Tamakongo? Is it a hybrid or a mutation? It certainly is cute, maybe Satomi will have another?

Congratulations on the new mini, hope you have room for this little beauty in that massive collection of yours. Let me know if you need me to take if off your hands!

Haha Patty...wait....uh, the post is for you! (not the plant).

Satomi had about eight on her list. They were priced at US$25.00. Remarkable for such an appealing plant.

Well....it was the thought that counts! I thank you for sharing. If you look at Satomi's photos of the August list, your mini Tamakongo is pictured just before my Senzai, I completely lost my mind! I had tried twice before to purchase a Senzai from her, this time I was determined though doubtful. So pleased to finally have this plant.

Now I'm emailing Satomi to see if she has another mini Tamakongo. That is one cool little plant!

Charles, the list is something Seed Engei sends out more or less every month. It contains many Furan, Sedeira, Dedrobium plants cultivated in Japan or Korea. Often times the plant's listed are less expensive than on eBay. This is on a first come first served basis. So if you want something you must act quickly.

Send an email to seed_engei@ yahoo.com and get on their mailing list.

Charles, send Satomi an email and ask to be added to her list, it's wonderful. Only problem is you need to be quick, as Matt said. I've missed several plants I dearly wanted as I was not quick enough to reply and sometimes there are only one or two of that plant shown.

Maybe it's me but I find it awkward to view the photos and then view the list of plants # and prices. Also, not all plants listed are shown in photos, you may ask Satomi for a photo. I'm new to Satomi's monthly list but I'm learning fast. Act ASAP!

As I understand, Seed Engei's FB shows this as well?
Hope this helps Charles.

This is just absurdly pretty! This looks smaller than Kiroshinzu, eh?
