Default Neofinetia falcata Tenzan

I recently purchased a Neofinetia falcata Tenzan from Seed Engei and it is due to arrive today. The pictures of the plant look to be a nice size clump, a bean leaf I just couldn't resist.

In searching online for information about this Neo, I'm not finding much at all. I do see a plant, Suruga Tenzan, but nothing about Tenzan. Anyone growing this little one?

Sometimes I find myself buying plants, especially Neos that I later struggle to find information about. I did this same thing with Rasha Chabo Nishiki, not much info there either. It by the way is going to open 7 blooms very soon!

I will post pictures of Tenzan later today after it arrives. Thanks in advance for any information!

The Tenzan arrived safely and I love it! It is a very nice clump, maybe 10 fans and a half a dozen teenie fans poking out of the moss and between other fans.

There is a spike peeking out so that's exciting too! This plant is as nice as it appeared in Satomi's listing and I am happy to add it to my collection. Here are a few pictures of Tenzan!

According to the Korean Neofinetia Association website:

Tenzan, 天山

Originally found in Shimane Prefecture, Japan. Bean leaf with thick leaves with good deep green color. Particularly, the tips of the leaves on this variety pinch together at the tip in a particular shape called Suzumushi-Ken. (Not as pronounced as in the variety Suzumushi, but similar). Not to be confused with the striped variety with the same name. Mud stem, mud root, waveform tsuke.

Thank you so much Hakumin! I really like this plant, very nice, thick clump. It is a deep green color and I see the Suzumushi-Ken leaf tip now that you mentioned it. I have a Suzumushi as well.

It will be nice to see it bloom, no idea what the flowers will look like but I'm guessing white, star shaped, heaven facing. Do you happen to know the translation of the name Tenzan? I've seen that name mentioned with Neofinetia pots.

Thank you again!

The link I provided in my post above has flower photos. Your guess was pretty close though.

Tenzan 天山, literally means "Heavenly Mountain" or something like that. However, Tenzan is also a Surname in Japan and that's why you've seen the name mentioned with Neo Pots. Musashi Tenzan is the founder of Studio Tenzan that makes some of the famous openwork pots.

Heavenly Mountain, I like that. The pots I've noticed are Studio Tenzan, beautiful pots.

I looked at your provided link, very much what I expected from this little plant. Thank you Hakumin!
