Green axil, split(forked) tongued sparrow. Before you think too hard about it, it's a fairytale. Well, not the green axil bit but the rest. The spur comes out folded. Can't take credit, got it earlier this year.

The buds start like critters hatching with a beak sticking out of an egg.

It is beautiful, such delicate flowers. Being new to Neofinetia, I have been delighted with the few I have blooming and several that are days away from flowers.

Thank you for sharing your pictures. Is this one as fragrant as most Neos?

It is an awesome fairytale too!

I think they smell the same. I have a couple others in bloom (not posting since they are typical blooms) and I'm getting too congested sniffing them!

It is doing well. It flowered but I didn't take pix this year. I treat it like all the rest, nothing special. Intermediate temps, low Catt light (I should call it Neo light since I no longer have Catts).

Sorry for the delayed response.

I supplement light in Winter but I don't think plants care the source of the photons, just how much.

Just a little bit of a clarification. Rather than a split or a forked tongue, the fairy tail is referring to a sparrow whose tongue was cut off by the antagonist of the story.
