Thank you Hakumin for the reply. I was really surprised to find this little growth and it has only been there for a day or two, very small. This Seiryujishi began showing new roots and growths days after I received it so I've been watching closely. The new fans are so cute and there are 8 of them so far. This questionable growth is the only one emerging from within a fan. I'm not holding my breath yet but I'm quite excited!

Again, thank you Hakumin!

It has been a week since I posted a picture of the questionable growth on the Seiryujishi. Today, I believe it really is a spike. If so, this will no doubt be my first Neofinetia to flower. Here is a picture from this morning.

That's a spike.

First neo to flower is a Seiryujishi? Wow. Seiryujishi usually don't flower very often at all if ever.

Awesome! I am excited now. I've only been growing Neofinetia since November so I'm quite inexperienced. When I purchased this plant I understood it may never flower, I was enchanted by the twisted growth. I've had this Seiryujishi about 6 weeks, I think I just got lucky.

Thank you again Hakumin for your reply, you've made my day!

Today I believe there are 3 buds, it's growing nicely and I tell it how amazing it is every day.

Today the Seiryujishi opened one bud! My first Neofinetia flower, and it is beautiful. There is a second bud still to open and if there had been a third bud, it never developed past a tiny little thing.

I acquired this plant in early February, so surprised to have it bloom.
