Absolutely gorgeous. I love the color. It seems to have great longevity.

'Blue Bird' is a clone so they all should have the same level of fragrance.

I don't know why some plants, of the same variety, will have more or less fragrance than others. I would have to say it depends on the mother plant and the enviroment in which it grows. Ours has a lovely sweet honeysuckle like scent, that you can smell afoot away. Some say theirs has no or very liittle scent. This could be that the mother plant that the clones where taken from had little or no scent to begain with. And/or the enviroment that it is growing in could be the cause, not enough or to much light, fertilizer, temperature, or humidity. A plant with no or very little scent one year could have more scent the next year or one with scent could have less scent the next year, if growing conditions are changed. Sometimes it is better to buy local, where you can actually touch and smell the plant, than to buy it sight unseen on the internet. Not saying the internet sales are bad, it keeps our addictions going, but you get what you get

I think it largely depends on the person's sense of smell. Not everyone has the same ability to smell. If we all were not talking about 'Blue Bird' but instead any Neostylis Lou Sneary that would be different.

This guy has been blooming for a couple weeks now. Just like clock work, it blooms at this time of the year, over the last few years. Smells better and better each year.

I just picked up the Neostylis Lou Sneary "Bluebird" at my local society meeting, and I do pick up a faint fragrance from it in the morning and evening.

It seems faint to me, and I have a very sensitive nose. I detected a minor gas leak in my parents house before their electronic nose found it.

Maybe it is because I just brought it home, and it is still in on the quarantine shelf instead of where it would be happiest.

It is beautiful though and I love seeing these pictures. I hope it grows as well for me.

I had a Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' for years that was not fragrant. The new one I bought last year 'Blue Bird' is. It may be the way that they are grown, temperature or humidity. I had a Dendrobium once that sometimes bloomed fragrant but usually wasn't. Perhaps the mineral phosphorous plays a role?

Here is an update on Lou Sneary. It has grown a second plant and now is in bloom with the mother.
