This is the yellow tiger Amami type with reddish peach roots. Fragrance of flowers are like lily of the valley with a touch of spring onions. It's amazing how each variety has different tones to their fragrance! No two are really alike.

I got this plant from a famous neo grower in Japan 5 years ago when I visited his nursery, which was about 3 hours away from Tokyo by train.

Leslie, with such lovely growth of roots, leaves, and flowers is it time to re-mound this plant? How do you determine when a plant is to be re-mounded?

Thanks all for the kind comments.

Matt, I repot all neos every 2 years. The surface looks weathered but underneath is still good. However if a neo is suffering I repot right away, no matter what time of year.
