Very educative topic, with great pictures. They say that summers in Japan and Korea bring much more rains than here in Middle Europe.

Great pictures! My favourite way to see orchids is growing wild!

I used to live in Japan and summers are very hot and very wet!

Far East sits in the way of tropical storm during the summer time, and heavy rains are very common in June and July.
Perfectly sunny afternoon can suddenly turn ugly and drop copious amount of rain in just fifteen minutes.
Many people carry umbrellas at all time for this reason.
I saw people getting soaked all the time because they were not prepared. funny sight.

I had summer rain in Hamburg and Berlin (not sure about the rest of Germany) but it is nothing compared to the tropical downpour of the Far East.
