They are basically the same in care, but the cheapest white flowered types would make a great choice as a practice piece and you could gain confidence before buying some expensive ones.

There is also a cheap pink variety. I think it's Shutenno and its hybrid with Koto.
These are cheap, readily available and very strong easy plants.

Good Neo for beginners? Female
Default Update

It came already! Thank you for all your help, everyone, in figuring out which one to get. They are all so gorgeous it got a bit overwhelming haha.

Anyway, here it is!

It actually isn't the Amami I ordered; it is Amami Hiroba, which, according to Kristen, gets bigger than the standard Amami. It also has some color breaks which Kristen explained are "ink spots." I was a bit concerned at first that it was from a virus; glad to know I just have an adorable little mutant

Congratulations! It looks really nice! I just have the three but I really love them. I love it when people post pictures of different ones. They really do look beautiful even out of bloom.

Congratulations! Your Amami Hiroba 奄美広葉 is an excellent choice. I have one too...like most Amami derivatives, this one is easy to grow and very enchanting when you get it to bloom.
