Neostylis Lou Sneary and Burr. Nelly Isler
Here are my Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' and Burr. Nelly Isler 'Swiss Beauty'. The Nelly Isler perfumes my entire kitchen every morning with a lovely floral scent. I still haven't quite figured out if/when my Lou Sneary is fragrant. If anyone knows....

My Lou Sneary was only fragrant at night time.
I will have to say early evening was when the scent was the best and then down hill into the night.
During the day, there was very slight scent sometimes, but other times, no scent at all during the day.
Try and smell it around 7 and 9 pm.
Then again, some of them are not scented at all.

Thank you. I do smell a faint odor at times but I was hoping it would be stronger, like the falcata. Oh well. At least the flowers are pretty.

The one I had was as strong (if not stronger) as falcata, but the fragrance is not as good as falcate, which is light and fresh while strong at the same time.
The fragrance on Lou Sneary seem rather "dense" if that makes any sense.
Have the flowers just open? The fragrance might get stronger.
There are varying degree. While most of Lou Sneary are strongly scented, some are fain, and some got nothing.

I just got Nelly Isler about 3 weeks ago. It's kind of wobbly in the pot after being repotted. I supported it with a couple of lava rocks but wonder how long would it take to root? Or would the old stalks (stems?) die anyway?

Wild Orchid, you might need to stake your Nelly Isler until it grows more roots. I usually stake a newly potted orchid and then try not to move it for a couple of months. The roots can develop at any time the pseudobulb is developing. My Nelly's latest pseudobulb was nearly finished when it put out a new flush of roots. Good luck!
