Default A sea of flowers!

This year has been spectacular for Vanda falcata. Both divisions are mostly in bloom. A few buds have not opened yet, but man what a show!

The added bonus is them smelling like chocolates at night and the early mornings.

Awesome!

They are very pretty!! The only thing I don't like about orchids that smell like food I like is they make me want to eat it (not the orchid, but the food)!

How old is your plant?

Hmmm...

I'm trying to recall, and I think it is somewhere on the order of about 5 years under my care. When I got it, the plant was already a blooming sized plant with multiple growths. I divided the sucker though.

If I remember correctly, I got it at around 2008.

I got mine earlier this year. already a blooming size with multiple growths as well.

I hope it will continue to do better and better each passing year. I'm so excited about this plant!
