P.S. Waiting for the Fugaku purchased last November to spike. Got an Amanagowa at the same time and it has five. Woo!
Thanks oh so much I was fearful of harming it. I prefer the traditional pot; I will be very careful and put it in a. Pot I am more comfortable in.

Congrats on your spikes post pics as soon as they they are ready. How do you all get five spikes any advise you can share with those of us who are lucky to get one spike.

Hi Ginger...just my 2cents. The only time they use such a tall pot for neos is when the roots in the pot are very long. Typically, Jason or Cathie would cut down the roots during remounding. In this case, does not look like they were able to remound this one yet. Usually they remound before they ship out the plant but since your plant was in bud I'm sure they left it so you would not get bud blast. If this was my plant, I would leave it as is at least until it is done blooming. Of course if you don't mind losing the flowers sooner, you can take it out anytime. That's a nice robust grower. Enjoy and good luck with it.

Oh thanks Tracy that was my first thought.... I definitely don't want to risk bud blast. There are so many of them and they have endured the shipping very well. They do a really nice job of packing plants in bloom and I'd hate mess that up. I'll leave it as is.

You're too funny, Adrienne . I can't claim to be anyone's sensei. I just hope that the new neo fans can benefit from my own mistakes.

As soon as I read your message I realized that it made sense. Adrienne is right on I listen when you speak about Neos. How did you learn so much about them?

I have no clue, Red. Was ecstatic to see one spike which now has six tiny green buds. The second longest spike is next to the first, coming out of the same fan, same leaf juncture. Anyone know if this is common?
