While it's not a shima or any unusual form, but I just got my normal sized Sedirea japonica to spike for the first time in my care! It has two spikes. It hasn't bloomed since I go tit almost three years ago!

Well I missed out on that other Neo but look at this beauty that just came from Satomi, Rain-No-Hikari. The variegation is TDF.

Yes, she sent a lovely one didn't she. I am making a new pot for it now I don't like that one. I am feeling something white & gold.....lol...decorating with the pot such fun

Good catch Red, I just asked Satomi for this plant yesterday, too late

On the good side, I will be able to see this plant on the OB instead of my windowsill, therefore no chance for me to kill it

Oh oh! More plants up for auction on Sunday! I wonder if there will a "winter rest" for vendors too? My daytime temperatures are staying around 50*F so if I do order more plants, they should be fine for the hour or two they are in the parcel box. I know that many vendors offer heat packs, but is there a point in time where any orchid vendor stops selling plants to folks like me who have cold winter days?

You have a good eye; we are always on the look out for special Neos. It certainly would have been safer with you that me but I will give it my best shot for both of us.

Matt, I don't think Seed Engei will stop selling plants in the winter... You I have to decide if you take the risk to get some shipped, but the vendors are not responsive for plants which turn into ice blocks during shipping

On the other hand, I have got some plants shipped in December or January from Satomi (shipped to Wa) and from other sellers from much colder States, and with a heat pack there was no problem. The heat packs stay warm for several days.
