I made the pot myself out of a polymer clay called katoclay... There are two threads detailing my descent into the insanity of making my own pots. I dragged several others with me. Lol
The second plant is a variegated bean lead variety so yes it is small! The variegation isn't apparent in the photos but its been growing in higher light and is slowly appearing.
And yeah the moss is a traditional Japanese method of growing these guys. I grow mine in my enclosure so the moss dries out in about two to three days but if I really drench them I can get another day out of it!

There is/was a Neo. x equestris cross according to wikipedia (and then a back-cross to Neo.), but I doubt you could easily find one for sale. A remake would be a cool thing to try.

Interesting! Maybe sense, we can cross Phals with vandas and the like, and technically neos are vandas now.

I believe Dr. McDaniel spoke about making Neo x equestris at last year's IPA symposium. Let me see if I can dig up my notes on that. His website is still under development. Orchid Classics |
