So... I was going to repot before I posted photos, but I realized that the pot I have for it is way too big! For now, I'm getting a mame bonsai pot for the little one, at least until he grows up big enough to fit his proper pot.

What a tiny little Neo! It has nice little roots growing.
Spending lots of money on a plant is something that scares me. Not so much the amount, but the fact that this type of purchase can die! And poof, there goes the money.

Well, overall, it's all a bit of a risk. No matter how good someone is at taking care of the plants, there's always the possibility of accidents or unforeseen circumstances too. However, I'm willing to take that risk for something that I absolutely enjoy.

It's definitely scary spending this much on a plant so I just wanted to kindly give you my . I'm sure you know how to grow these but just want to share this info with you. I have several small divisions of this size, with smaller root systems and such. I switched them to those smaller size clay pots, similar to the size of this plastic pot you have it in. They are still in a moss mound, just a mini version of it. The root systems seem to do much better with the moss in the clay than the plastic.

It looks really healthy and already has some nice variegation, with not too much gold in it. So it might grow a bit faster than the ones with lots of yellow. Congrats and with your new neo.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, I've already ordered an unglazed mame bonsai pot to do this, It's just about as wide as this plastic pot though shallower. I'll be mounding it as I usually do with all my neos except at a smaller scale. I'll probably even include the cavity going up through the middle of the mound too.

What a beauty! It'll look great in an unglazed mame pot. You'll have to post up some pics when you get it repotted. Congratulations again.

Cheers.

Any updates on this little guy? I'm actually trying to find something similar to this and know they're still up there.
