Yes, mine has spikes also but it hasn't opened yet. I made a mistake by putting one of them in the vanda room with vanda light, the leaves started turning yellow but the new growth is green now that I have moved it back out of all that light....LOL

Neat. All these plants with the Japanese names are varieties of Neofinitia falcata right? Or are they hybrids?

The variety found in Neos is mind blowing. They are all so beautiful too! I envy those of you who grow them so successfully.

Tony - I think there's just one neofinetia species and everything else are varieties. The major differences seem to come from flower color and how the leaves are variegated.
