Hi there! New guy here Male
Smile Hi there! New guy here

Hi there,

I've been lurking around for a while just reading what people have had to say about neofinetias and i figured that I'd come out and say "hi"

I'd been interested in orchids, but especially neofinetias for a long while after seeing them in Korea when I first went to visit my extended family. Finally, I then moved to a new place where I actually had the proper conditions to grow these, and so I started building up my modest little collection that I've listed below. Since for me, the tradition of growing neofinetias is as much Korean as Japanese, I've listed the varieties by both their Japanese and Korean names.

Shutenno - Jucheonwang

Kibana - Hwanghwa

Hisui - Bichwi

Amami Hiroba - Amami Gwangyeop

Soubiryu - Ssangmiryong

Manjushage - Manjusahwa

Tamakongo - Okgeumgang

Jukai - Suhae

Kuroshinju - Heukjinju

Gekkeikan - Weolgyegwan

To round out my collection sometime in the near future I'm planning on getting a Houmeiden/Poongmyungjeon (豊明殿) and a striped bean leaf, maybe a Ryokusaiho/Nokchaebo (緑彩宝).

Well, all said,
Ern.

Ern - Great collection and fabulous photos. One question for you, how do you mound your moss so perfectly? Actually two questions, where do you buy your pots?
