Talking Neofinetia falcata 'Asahiden'

I got this little beauty from japaneseorchids on eBay. It's a Neo. falcata 'Asahiden' The plant arrived in perfect condition, but i repotted it because the moss was green. It had 10+ growths and tons of roots. It even came with a seed pod. When I first saw the seed pod it was yellow, but it is brown now. I have already prepared flasks and am waiting to make sure they are sterile. I will probaby wait until either Sunday or Monday to flask them and hopefully they grow into baby Asahiden's. I do not have a glove box. Does anybody know of any alternatives? Homemade solutions? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Below are some pictures of the plant, flasks, and seed pod.

Looks like a great plant! Good score off ebay! But I do have a question about your moss...you said you changed it because it was green-- assuming its green with algae (not envy), why does this matter to Neo culture, or is it just an appearance thing? Just wondering, because i've seen in several places that one should replace the moss when it becomes green but no one ever says why.

I only have one neo and she's growing in a vase. Amazing how differently these plants will grow, and grow well.

Well this tells me that the plant has not been repotted in a while, so I change it. Also, to me it is an appearance thing. However, no matter who the plant is from I always repot when I receive a plant. I can look at the roots and determine whether or not I should quarantine the plant because of any possible diseases that could be spread.

Looks great. I have been thinking of getting some of their Neos. Are you happy with the roots, etc? What color flowers does this one have?

I am really happy with the plant as a whole. The roots are in really good condition and there was not one dead one. I have bought plants from her before, but through a local greenhouse and even then they were the highest quality neos available. I highly recommend them to anybody. This plant has white flowers just like most other neos.
