Default Neofinetia falcata 'Tougen' (?) : evolution from bud to flower

Here is a photo sequence of my Neofinetia falcata 'Tougen' (? bought as a NOID) blooming. I took photographs almost every day since the spike has started to grow, and will focus on one bud until the flower is fully opened.
More photos to come... stay tuned

July 31st: the spike starts to spread its buds

August 4th: buds are growing

August 5th: from now I'll focus on the bud on the right side of the spike (previous pic.) : the spur is growing longer

August 8th:

August 9th: the curving of the spur

August 10th: keep curving

August 11th: elongation of the spur

Nice pics of the spur. The 3rd picture has pretty cool detail too.

Cheers.

Cool, I cant wait to see these open! I have a Neo Tougen and cant wait for mine to flower, unfortunately, it will be a couple of years as mine is still very small.

New pic today:

The bud turns more white with still a bit of pink. The spur is moving away from the rest of the bud. The whole bud is moving towards a more horizontal position

Yep! They grow fast, I wonder if I could see them move if I stayed in front of the plant for couple of hours...

Too bad you couldn't do a time-lapse. That would be cool.

Cheers.

Yes Jim, I was thinking of that too, too bad I don't have the tools for that (I am with a Canon body and it doesn't do time lapse)
