Default Does this look like a spike??

I've never bloomed a Neo before, so I'm not positive how they start. I've had this one for about a year....so my question is, does this look like a spike??

Definitely looks spike-ish! ....BUT these guys like to take their sweet time...at least for mine, spikes appear in late summer/early fall, and don't do anything until March, when they quickly grow big.

Mine spiked from down low on the plant like that and they were reddish (4 different varieties). The start of the spike was slowish (took a month or so) then grew before my eyes. I was surprised at how fast they can elongate. But the key for me is they were reddish.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
