I got a delivery this week and it was packed with peanuts...usually these get thrown away but this thread popped into my head and I kept them

I'm giving it a try today...wish me luck

Well, I did the peanuts on a stick thing...and then ran into trouble with the sphag, which is always the problem for me with this method of potting. I ran out of the best quality long hair sphag I had a few months ago and mistakenly ordered what was touted as being great quality...but leaves much to be desired sphag. The strands are not really long at all so...

I did the wire part and then mounded the stuff I have around it and stuck it back in the pot. They look pretty good...but still not perfect

I will, eventually, get the hang of this one!

Wow this is such a cool thread, too bad I missed it before as it is very entertaining should I ever wat to try it which I'm sure I will. I bet it will take me a couple of tries to get it to look like the one in the pics.

Not bad Sue! I seem to have a problem with making the mound to high above the pot....lol. The last one was so bad I had to redo it!
