Default Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Blue Moon' ...help please

So I was out in Homestead riding a motorcycle so I wouldn't buy an orchid just enjoy myself and reflect on my addiction?.
So I ended up at Banjong Orchids and the lady there smiled at me as soon as I came in. She asked me what I would get today in her cute asian accent. I was so proud of myself I just replied....can't buy today I can only look since Im on a bike So I started talking to her and her very knowledgeable nephew Ben about neos...well they taught me a lot of things including how I can take a neo in a motorcycle since they are pretty small and if I go straight home.
So.....it has no flowers and I was wondering if anyone knows what the flowers might look like. They said blue and that it smells pretty nice too. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure why, but reading this part made me bust a gut laughing. I believe your neo hybrid should look something like this.http://members.authorsguild.net/stev...ylis_lou_s.jpg. Sorry this pic is so small, couldn't find a bigger one yet. Basically, the flowers will resemble the standard Neofinetia flower shape but they will be bigger and that lovely purple blue color.
Imagine this http://www.calorchid.com /CALO/2Neofinetia/2LG_W-Neo-Lou-S-%27Lea%27.html but in blue.

Since Shuttennou (Red Emperor) is species I'm not too sure how different the spikes look on the neo hybrids compared to the species. I only have the species neos right now, haven't gotten my hands on any hybrids. Yet. So I've never seen those spikes up close on the hybrids. From photos elsewhere I've seen, I'm guessing it won't have as much of the blue purple hue compared to some of the species neos. Here's LI Jane's Lou Sneary 'Kultana' she posted here. Perhaps yours will look similar? Her pic has a better view of the stems.

By the way, some of the species neos have bright red spikes with reddish buds that flower white. Real cool.

Enjoy your new 'Lou' swamper! Treat us to some more when that bad boy flowers.

Both 'Blue Moon' and 'Kultana' show gorgeous colour. My Lou Sneary is mostly white like the standard Neo with just a touch of blue on the tips of the petals. Good luck with yours, Swamper! I hope you get a blue one.

Joe,

That's a nice looking plant you got there...I just love the way Ben has a habit of selling the plants at Bangjong! I walked out of there last week with a V. coerulea after just stopping by for a look.

I can picture you riding your bike home...all hunkered down with this little chid under your riding jacket.

By the way, mine blooms in thesummer, and last year gave me two wonderful, long lasting, fragrant spikes...and my plant is considerably smaller than yours. I have high hopes that yours will do wonderfully.

Tracy thanks for the info on the Shuttennou, I don't know much about Neos or which is hybrid or species so thanks
Paul thanks for looking it up on your new? Orchid Wiz program.
Shirley Im sure hoping for blue Im feeling confident it will have some blue in it.
Dave that was pretty funny. I actually had it tucked in one of the saddle bags. I knew I couldn't fit a vanda in there but I wasn't prepared for the neos. Oh well. Next time I'll go on a skateboard...hmmmm but then they'll strap one on my back or something
Thanks everyone

Greetings from the northwest of Canada. I have a Neostylis Lou Sneary "Pinky". I did notice under Miniatures show and tell that some of the people were talking about the orchid that you were interested in. There is even a couple of pictures.

Take a look under "Miniatures Show and Tell".

All the best.....Faz.
