Hello,

This is not the Aussie Gold but Kiryu Zuna a stone Japanese clay. It is a substrate often used for bonsai and cymbidium.
the advantage is that the roots breathe well, clay remains moist but not wet. The Kiryu Zuna degrades very slowly, reducing the annual rempotages every 2 to 3 years easily.
