Thanks for your explanations! I didn't think that a neo could show so much variation from one plant to another. When those last 2 yellow leaves grew, it was in France, behind a south facing window getting a few hours of direct sun. Since a month ago I'm back in Holland, where it's in a north-east facing window with supplemental light. We'll see what happens to the next leaf to pop out. Yellow or green, I still love this little cutsie!

These are my Neos:

Picture 1: Classic Neofinetia falcata, Gekkikan (this one gave me a flower over the summer ) and Shotennou

Picture 2: The better of my Anzumaru

Picture 3: size comparison of Anzumaru

Picture 4: bot my Anzumarus. They actually both came together in the same pot. I repotted and the 2 plants fell apart... so I potted them seperately

I think I need Hisui

Great pics Niki! What is the mixture you have yours potted in? It looks similar to a mixture I have for some of my other 'chids.

It's just that Shultz Orchid mix you can buy at Walmart or Home Depot. I used to have them on little moss balls, but I found those grey pots the Classic, Gekkikan and Shotennou are in don't allow the moss to dry out very well (don't know why, they are made for asian orchids). And I'm something of a stickler for uniformity, so... everybody went into the mix. seems fine though... since I mist so often.

I vote for Akebono too I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine. During a fire, it would be one of the 1st ones I'd save. gmaculata, considering your list of neos, you must've joined OB because of the Neo forum??

Whatever the reason, WELCOME

Thanks for the welcome. You are correct, that is the reason I joined. I was hoping to make a connection with others who grow this great orchid.
