Making a couple of correction edits. . .Thanks, Shannan!!!

#1 The base where the leaves meet the mail stem is called Jiku! Cool eh?

#2 Leaf type should be Furan! These are just the standard green leaves.

Luckygrower - So glad you added your photos here!!!! Yours looks great! And I love the pot!

One thing really interesting about this variety too, is the flower spike itself. It is a deep cherry red; a really beautiful hue.

You are all very baaaaaaad, I am planning on going to a show next weekend in Cincinnati and I thought I might buy three or four orchids. Now, the bulk of my money will go to one good sized Shutenno. Those pictures are absolutely awesome--and though the pots are lovely, I will end up mounting mine. I have a plain white neo that is doing wonderfully on the mount. And I won't argue with success...Thanks for sharing those pics ( and spending my money)

We know we are evil! But when you grow things which are this beautiful, you can't help but want to share that beauty with everyone!

You will love your plant! And don't forget to post for us to see!!

Pure eeeeeeveeeeelllllll.

You'll be super happy with the Shutenno! It's totally worth the expense. And anyway, you HAVE to have at least one good pink blooming Neofinetia. I love this one!!!

Can't wait to see what you find at the show!!!!

Gwen;

That's a beautiful flower. I like the light shades of pink.

I'm liking this species more each time I see a new flower.

Cheers.
Jim
