Unhappy I am sad. Can I save it?

Noooo
I managed to snag a division of Neofinetia Fukiden and it didn't cost a kidney. But it arrived today damaged from transit! It only has one leaf remaining! Im not blaming the seller, but I tried contacting him. Awaiting an answer. But assuming I got the only remaining one, is it possible to save this orchid? As long as there is one leaf, there might be hope...right?

Many years ago I lost a Neof. Fukiden sent from SE do to shipping damage attributed to ordering it at the wrong time of year.

This is something many orchid growers experience.

With only a single leaf, there is a good chance the meristematic tissue is doomed with little to no chance of recovery. Sometimes it’s better to just let go.

Really the only reason I'm clinging to hope is because somehow I managed to save a tolumnia genting orange that had been reduced to one leaf. It now has 3 fans plus the one original leaf, but.... It took forever to recover

Was it an agonizing experience or rewarding? That might be influential in how you proceed.

You might consider giving it a good soak in KelpMax solution.

Not only does it stimulate growth, it provides chemical resources that the plant would ordinarily produce for itself, but without the plant having to expend its own resources to do so.

Leaves are almost irrelevant if there are healthy roots and the meristem is undamaged. A setback, not a tragedy. Even if the apical meristem is damaged you may get growth from a axillary meristem. Normal good care and maybe a mild stimulant like KelpMax as Ray suggested is all it needs. Resist the impulse to keep trying something new every week or 2. Time to heal for the plant requires patience on your part. Almost no effort, and very little space is required, so nothing to lose in giving it a year to see what it does.

Ive only had it for 2 days so far. But I've never tried kelpmax, I always thought it was more for roots. I'll give it a try
