Default Darwinara Charm Blue Star care questions

I have a darwinara charm Blue star that I purchased about two years ago as a smaller but healthy plant. It grew one leaf but then seems to have frozen. The root tips seem to be growing but the plant overall looks kind of the same as It did a year ago. Its the only Neo type anything I have in my collection, so can someone tell me how to grow this thing, in case I'm missing something? I feel like I'm missing something....
Currently it's on a plant stand by a west facing window with the blinds mostly shut, and a grow light 1 foot above (the light is a new addition as of several months ago). Planted in spagnum moss in a vanda basket, trying to keep the moss moist but not soaked. Fan nearby

Vandachostylis Charm (thanks, taxonomists...) needs warm, very bright conditions, and in my experience, prefers a very "open" potting medium and very frequent watering - the opposite of sphagnum.

The only other potting media I have on hand is some pine bark mix. Since the roots are beginning to grip the basket, should I bother switching media at this point?

I would carefully remove the sphagnum without disturbing the plant, then drop some pieces of coarse bark around the roots. BUT THAT'S ME, WITH MY CONDITIONS.

It may simply have "stalled" leaf growth for the sake of putting the energy into the roots. If the roots are actively growing, stay the course!

Generally though, vandaceous plants seem to prefer frequent watering with fast drying.
