Is this Vanda sick?
Default Vanda with yellow areas and black spots on leaves.

I just bought this Vanda at a fair. Didn't check it out well as the light were dim. When I got it home I noticed the leaves have yellowish spots and it also has dark spots, im thinking its a fungus. Can anyone tell me what could be the cause. Thank you so much!

Yes, that does look like some sort of mold, or possibly mildew on the leaves. Put some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel or cloth and tried gently wiping them.

The newest leaf looks pretty clean, so I would chalk it up to poor growing conditions from the vendor, and not worry about it too much unless it spreads.

Thank you Ray! I bought it at a fair where they come from different parts of the island for a couple of days, but they buy from several growers here to sell and they don't take care of the plants much. That'll teach me. Oh well I'm hoping for the best. Thanks!

I isolated it. Yesterday I gave it calcium, today I fertilized it with 20-20-20 along with the other orchids, tomorrow I'm going to give them magnesium.
Hopefully with good feeding it will grow new clean leaves. Keeping fingers crossed.
